The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern San Diego County in southwestern California...

* Until 1130 AM PDT.

* At 933 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
  warned area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. The
  expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1 inch in 45 to 60 minutes. Flash
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing
           flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...Chula
  Vista, San Diego, La Jolla, El Cajon, Encinitas, National City, La
  Mesa, Poway, Imperial Beach, Ramona, Coronado and Tierrasanta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
