...LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLE IN PARTS OF THE LAS VEGAS
VALLEY AND PAHRUMP EARLY THIS MORNING...

RAIN HAS CHANGED OVER TO SNOW BEHIND A SHARP COLD FRONT THAT IS
PUSHING SOUTH ACROSS THE LAS VEGAS VALLEY EARLY THIS MORNING. SNOW
HAS STARTED TO STICK ON SOME COLDER SURFACES IN THE FAR NORTHWEST
PART OF LAS VEGAS AS WELL AS IN PAHRUMP THE LAST FEW MINUTES. THIS
BAND OF SHOWERS WILL LAST ANOTHER FEW HOURS AND SHOULD END BY 3 TO 4
AM ACROSS THE LAS VEGAS AND PAHRUMP VALLEYS.

TRAVELERS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR REDUCED VISIBILITY AND SLICK ROADS.
BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL AT NIGHT AS ICY PATCHES WILL BE HARDER TO SEE.
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS UP TO AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE MAINLY ON ANY METAL
SURFACES AND ON CARTOPS.

THE LAST TIME ANY SNOW FELL ON CHRISTMAS IN LAS VEGAS AT THE
OFFICIAL CLIMATE STATION WAS IN 2008 WHICH WAS A TRACE.
